Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences

The study of social and cultural sciences is characterized by its interconnection of research and instruction, an innovative interdisciplinary course of study, and an international focus. With our three bachelor programs “Social and Cultural Sciences”, “Intercultural German language and literature studies” and the brand new “Law and Politics” (offered in cooperation with the Faculty of Law and starting this fall) we offer innovative and interdisciplinary study courses! They are combined with a strong focus on language learning. The university offers an attractive educational experience in a compact, modern campus with a low student-teacher ratio which fosters strong student-teacher relationships. Here on the German-Polish border living side by side with students from all over the world is a normal part of daily life – a fourth of the student population comes from foreign countries.
